On March 29, 2025 Anthony Brogdon, host of Strong Inspirations in conjunction with United African Community Association hosted a reception to honor, Professor Anita M Diop, the Executive Director of the African Roots and Heritage Foundation for her works in culture, heritage and languages preservation.
On this occasion the City of Detroit, honored and Awarded the Professor Diop with a Testimonial Resolution.
RESOLVED, That on this day, March 29, 2025, President Pro Tempore James E. Tate and the entire Detroit City Council recognize Professor Anita M. Diop for her extraordinary contributions to cultural preservation, education, and advocacy. Her unwavering commitment to strengthening the bonds between the African Diaspora and the continent has left an indelible mark on history. May her work continue to inspire future generations, and may she be celebrated as a true leader in the African Renaissance.
Additional awards were given to ARHF All Star Donors and Partners. Each year the African Roots and Heritage Foundation acknowledges individuals, organizations who support in various capacities.
